Senior Strategic Purchaser


Tasks:


  • The Productline EL Eger 8HP Program Purchasing Manager is responsible for the running business and the business expansion of the growing ZF Site in Eger, Hungary;
  • Currently, the 8HP65A transmission is the key product to be managed. In the near future, the launch of the next generation, 8HP 4th Gen is planned for Eger and requires full attention concerning Materials Management;
  • The Team contains Program Purchasing Buyers in the locations Eger, Hungary and Saarbruecken, Germany;
  • The duty of the position owner is broader than Eger; it also contains a global role, hence supporting other ZF locations, such as Saarbruecken, Germany and potentially others;
  • The day to day business includes coordination and organizing of a group of young professionals at a size of 10 people, which is continuously growing. They need guidance to support the demanding Cost Down Objectives;
  • A key task is to maintain the monthly reports related to all given KPI’s, such as Material Cost, Supplier Tooling, Sourcing Performance and several others; 
  • The annual Business Planning (SP/OP) and Part Price Variance (active material cost down) are in focus;
  • Initiate and support VA/VE Projects (technical cost reduction and supplier resourcing) in a cross-functional team is another important element of the Program Purchasing Manager’s role;
  • The owner of the position is responsible for flawless- and safe launches of any new product going into the DIV E site of Eger, while cost targets are to be met as well;
  • The person also has a target to further improve the local footprint of our supply base in Central Eastern Europe (BCC Approach); 
  • The position is also part of the Global Management Team within Program Purchasing of Productline EL;

 


Requirements:


  • Degree in technical / mechanical / industrial engineering;
  • Min. 6 years of automotive business- or related experience;
  • 5 years of purchasing experience; 
  • Fluent English language knowledge;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Project management skills;
  • Ability to maneuver in a global management matrix; 
  • Willingness for business travels;
  • Agility and Flexibility are required;
