Job Description
Within this results driven and customer-focused environment, we are looking a Debt collection specialist to join our team based in Budapest, Hungary. The Debt collection specialist will be responsible for applying collection principles and techniques in the recovery of overdue receivables for both insured and uninsured transactions. Applies recovery routines and procedures; defines tactics that will ensure results, develops formula for maximising collections and shortens the collections cycle. Main responsibilities
  • Responsible for the recovery of monies owed to clients in respect of credit insured transactions, bonds and of uninsured debts placed for collections in Hungary. 
  • Responsible for contacting debtors (only B2B) by telephone in order to successfully collect on the debt that they owe.
  • Responsible for managing of legal cases: preparing documentation for the law office for the legal procedure Monitor and follow up legal activities in accordance with agreed deadlines.
  • Updating customers about status of the legal procedure. Submitting refund requests to authories.
  • Owning and maintaining the day to day relationship with clients, debtors and 3rd parties (mainly lawyers) including negotiation over recommended action
  • Make follow-up communications a priority to ensure that customers keep their commitments.
  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of debts, implementing the agreed processes and systems to achieve desired goals and results.

Job requirements
  • 2-3 years relevant experience with debt collection, preferably within the business to business (B2B) environment.
  • The ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure.
  • Good negotiation and communications skills, both written and verbal with fluency in Hungarian and English languages.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • A positive attitude and ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
  • Confident user of MS office.
  • A Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business, Finance or Accounting.
